We were excited to take away the win for our Port Stephens Examiner Local Business Awards in 2022.
We work hard to find opportunities to show the wider community how capable, creative and intelligent children are. We see children as a possessor of rights and an active and valuable member of society. As professional educators, we take our role seriously and see value in sharing our knowledge and experience with not just the Education sector but the wider community.
In 2024 our Educational Leaders Kate and Rach had the opportunity to present a poster at
the Early Childhood Australia Conference held in Brisbane. Their presentation was titled
“Cheers to Tea: How ritualising connections empowers children and nurtures emotional
wellbeing.” They explained how their tea rituals support relationships and children through
slowing down and being present. This was an incredible opportunity to share and celebrate
our practices on a national level.
At the Learning Terrace we strive to advocate for children and the sector. This sees our
educational leaders sharing their expertise and knowledge through writing articles.
‘Responsive language: alternative language with real life situations.’ They touch on how our
language with children is powerful and impactful, giving ways to respond and support
children through language.

feel proud of in our four two years of being open and only wish that our curiosity, courage
and kindness will guide us into many to come.”
