We were excited to take away the win for our Port Stephens Examiner Local Business Awards in 2022.
We work hard to find opportunities to show the wider community how capable, creative and intelligent children are. We see children as a possessor of rights and an active and valuable member of society. As professional educators, we take our role seriously and see value in sharing our knowledge and experience with not just the Education sector but the wider community.
In July 2023 our Pedagogical Leader Clare and Lead Educators Kate and Rachael, presented at the Reggio Australia Information Exchange National Conference. Their presentation was titled “Language Without Words – How 100 languages can support joyful and responsive relationships with infants.” What an incredible opportunity to present research from The Learning Terrace to a national audience. Clare, Kate and Rachael are now working on journal articles and other publications to further share their research and thinking.
“We have an incredible team of dedicated, knowledgeable and courageous educators, who deeply respect and are committed to their learners and profession. We have so much to feel proud of in our first two years of being open and only wish that our curiosity, courage and kindness will guide us into many to come.”
Our very own Maddy and Clare were finalists in the “Youth Award” and “Businessperson of the Year” award for the Port Stephens Examiner Local Business awards.
